Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate vehicle and spare parts clearance activities with shipping lines, freight forwarders, Sri Lanka Customs, and other regulatory authorities.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely preparation of documentation and smooth shipment processing.
Monitor vessel arrivals, cargo movements, and delivery schedules to ensure efficient operations.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations and all applicable statutory requirements.
Coordinate the transportation of cleared vehicles and cargo from the port to designated locations.
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to wharf operations and shipment activities.
Assist in resolving operational issues, shipment delays, and documentation discrepancies in a timely manner.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with port authorities, logistics service providers, and other external stakeholders.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in wharf operations, import/export coordination, shipping, logistics, or customs clearance.
Good knowledge of Sri Lankan Customs procedures, port operations, and import documentation.
Strong coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
